Dairy doesn’t sleep
I spent a decent portion of the last working week on my computer, watching dairy leaders from around the world discuss the effects of the pandemic on the industry, and what the industry did in response. Overall, it was quite a feat on the part of the organisers in Denmark and of the international dairy industry in general, to produce a conference with both in-person and remote sessions. But this is not the first time that dairy has stepped up to the plate and managed to deliver.
Independence Day and other matters
Times do change and in general, they head for the better. I think this as we head towards another Independence Day celebration in the US.
The cheese and the music
Worthy Farm’s new Worthy Farm Reserve Cheddar is made with milk produced from the cows that spend most of the year grazing on the site of the world-famous Glastonbury music festival in the UK. As part of the launch, there is a promotion on-pack and in stores to win tickets to the next festival, which is now scheduled for 2022. I think it’s a nice reminder that out there, beyond lockdowns and vaccinations, there will be a time when we can all get together in muddy fields and listen to music.
